Overview of the programme

FirstBase is a complete administration programme written specifically for New Zealand preschools and kindergartens.

It is simple to use, and can be used by staff without the need for extensive training. A full time help desk is available five days a week, with email support seven days a week.

The programme stores comprehensive data on each child, tracks absences and fees, and produces Ministry returns at the touch of a button. A wide variety of lists can be produced at any time.

The programme is written in FileMaker Pro, and has a large customisable section that can be adjusted to your special needs by the Help Desk staff.

20 free hours

Skagerrak software has been briefed, and is in regular contact with the Ministry of Education over the Free ECE initiative. The software is being further developed in order to meet these new administrative requirements. For more information, click here.
